Abandoned!
Well, threefold abandonment.

Didn't have a chance to post all day Friday, and thus deserted my blogs and others.

Plus, Socially Inept, another friend of ours whom I shall dub Jewel, and Jewel's receptionist have gone off on their African safari... and a 10-hour layover in London, the lucky boogers.

Socially Inept is bound and determined to make it into the Tower this time around as the lines were long the last time and the schedule was tight. Not that 10 hours is much time, either, but... have I mentioned Socially Inept is as stubborn as I at times?

A third friend, whom we fondly dub Cistron, is off to Arizona, being intrepid as usual and climbing rocks. This is the same Cistron who went off to Cameroon doing good works as part of the Peace Corps, and enjoyed finalizing a Master of Public Health degree in Thailand.

My friends are the adventurous sort. Have I mentioned they are also fab and loyal to a fault? Except when they abandon me to go off on such trips, of course.
