Less Than a Day of Freedom Left
Well, despite the infernal racket that's been going outside my window all morning and afternoon and still continues, I finished my first round of edits...[content deleted; for full post and other comments, go here.]

Didn't get laundry done, after all, naturally. Rats! But just as well -- given the amount of noise down in the basement and constant to-ing and fro-ing of multiple people, I doubt I could have gotten much use of the elevator getting to and back from the laundry room.

One of my friends from waaaaay back when tells me that this blog doesn't sound too much like me, the way my letters usually do or the live me. Rather it seems a more watered down, subdued version of yours truly.

I suppose that's true to an extent for a few reasons.

One, as she pointed out, I am usually pretty tired from the day job, so it's hard to get my usual -- *rolling eyes now* -- peppy self going when I blog in at odd hours of the morning (not today obviously, lol).

Two, I am deliberately trying very hard to avoid discussing details of the day job here. I've already heard too many horror stories of people being fired and so on and so forth, and much though the job stresses me out, right now it's what's paying the bills. Admittedly, this makes for really boring reading because the things that happen in the office would make a fine comedy...black comedy, that is.

Three, I'm not all that witty and bright to begin with. I already mentioned that this blog is an ego trip, right? What, you actually expected to be entertained, too? Silly, silly you! ;-D

Ok, I'll try to be more sparkly. As sparkly as the stars in the sky but not as sparkly as Mariah Carey's movie Glitter. That is to say, zero sparklies.

Feel free to rant here at how unexciting you find this blog. I will caution you, however, not to use this as an excuse for a free-for-all. I can and will delete really offensive posts. So there. Ahh, the power! I can feeeeeeeel it. :-D
