I've Been a Busy Broad... Mayhap
What I've managed to do today:

  1. Write and send 5 acceptance letters for manuscripts
  2. Send an introductory letter to the newest author to join my group (more news when it's officially official)
  3. Invite said author to my authors' group
  4. Send 1 story back for minor corrections, then on to line edits
  5. Compile my list of fave authors (see below), sans the erotic romances I edit and enjoy, most of whom you'll find on my sidebar at my lurid blog as well.

Doesn't seem like a lot, does it, and yet this has somehow eaten away my day. And I've tons more to do.

Adolescent/Children: Lloyd Alexander, Holly Black, Lewis Carroll, Eoin Colfer, Nancy Farmer, Cornelia Funke, Holly Hobbie, Madeleine L’Engle,Christopher Paolini, Philip Pullman, Christina Rossetti, JK Rowling, Lemony Snicket, Antoine De Saint-Exupery, Maurice Sendak, EB White, etc

Paranormal: Kelley Armstrong, Patricia Briggs, Jim Butcher, Christine Feehan, Laura Anne Gilman, Simon R. Green, Laurell K. Hamilton, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison, Barb and JC Hendee, Sherrilyn Kenyon, C. E. Murphy, etc

Mysteries/Thrillers: Catherine Aird, Margery Allingham, Nicholas Blake, John Dickson Carr (Carter Dickson), G. K. Chesterton, Agatha Christie, Edmund Crispin, Dick Francis, Georgette Heyer, Ngaio Marsh, AE Maxwell, Mary McMullen, Kasey Michaels, JD Robb, Mary Stewart, Rex Stout, Anne Stuart, Josephine Tey, June Thompson, Elizabeth Thornton, Patricia Wentworth, Phyllis Whitney, etc

Nonfiction/Science: Charles Harrington Elster, Laurie Garrett, Larry Gonick, Karen Elizabeth Gordon, Arno Karlen, Richard Preston, Matt Ridley, Oliver Sacks, Lynne Truss, Bill Walsh, etc

Sci-fi/fantasy: Piers Anthony, C.J. Barry, Terry Brooks, Susan Grant, Tanya Huff, E.E. Knight, Mercedes Lackey, Holly Lisle, Patti O'Shea, Robin D. Owens, JRR Tolkien, S.L. Viehl (Lynn Viehl), etc

I love "The Little Prince". Remains one of my favorite childhood books, next to "Where the Wild Things Are".

Hi, Angel, Jr, I love the Little Prince, too. I have the French and English versions, stationery, the doll... :-D

I like Maurice Sendak, too! Can't believe I left him off. Gotta go fix!

T&B, I can't believe someone else I know (well, know OF?) appreciates Catherine Aird. And you've been so busy that after reading all about it, I need a nap. Besides, I have to adapt to the advent of Daylight Savings Time.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

    Hey, Suz!

I love Catherine Aird and was really bummed when they stopped carrying her here in the States. I usually have to go online or to Murder Inc, where they charge an arm and a leg. Grrrr!

Lol, to your reaction to Daylight Saving time. At least you're not violent about it the way I am. ;-)
