Please Help the Libraries in New Orleans
Information courtesy of Suz.

The devastation that was Hurricane Katrina in 2005 cut across all geographic, racial, financial, sex, and age boundaries.

While much is being done and remains still to be done to rebuild the affected towns, cities, and states, as well as to alleviate the suffering of their citizens, something that might have been overlooked is the destruction of repositories of knowledge: the libraries.

Please consider donating a sum toward the New Orleans Library, or even a library in your area.

    You're muchly welcome, Suz.

I donate to my local libraries but I am ashamed to say I hadn't thought of the ones lost to Hurricane Katrina. Thank you so much for posting about it.

Wait - you mean they can read???

I go through a lot of books, I'll have to check it out and send some, though I don't have anything on fermenting crawdads.

Hmm. Great idea about sending books, PK! I've quite a bit myself.

As to not having anything on fermenting the crayfish, I bet the libraries would be happy taking any and all books on building and fixing things. :-)
