All Right, I'm a Whiner and Slacker
You know, I really hate this blog sometimes. It just lost me another dang post!! Arg!!!!!

All right. let's see if I can create the bulk of it from memory, demmit.

I was semi-productive today. Commented on 2 new submissions. Posted my editorial status. Bemoaned the fact tomorrow is Monday. There. My day is complete.

Leisure-reading updates:

I finished rereading for the third time MaryJanice Davidson and Anthony Alongi's wonderful young adult book Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace. I cannot wait for the sequel, Jennifer Scales and the Messenger of Light, which will be out in June 2006.

Concurrently, I'm rereading Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series for the fourth time and am in the middle of Bloody Bones. I confess I don't like the direction the most recent books have been taking, but I like the action and most of the plots enough to keep giving Ms Hamilton the benefit of the doubt. Same for her Meredith Gentry series. By the way, Micah is out at the end of February 2006.

Have I mentioned that I love to read and reread and reread my books? Yes, it seems obvious, but I have multiple, multiple books that I've read over a dozen times each. I have quite a few that I reread several times a year because I love them that much. Yeah, yeah, I'm a freak and a quasi-geek (quasi because I haven't the IQ to be a total geek) -- what of it, eh?!

I did see Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-rabbit yesterday. Get there early so you won't miss the premovie short about those penguins from the animated film, Madagascar. It's riotously funny! Also, be sure to stay through the end of the credits. :0)

Brenda appears to have survived the stair steps. Go, Brenda! More importantly, the stair steps survived her. Yes, indeed, it seems an assassination attempt was made on the critter, but sturdy and hardy thing that it is -- no doubt well-used to such weevil endeavors in its past incarnations -- it is still extant and relatively whole, except, perhaps, for the smudge where Brenda's leg attacked it. :-O
