Hack Hack, Cough Cough
Hey! Check out my new NeoCounters on the right side; they're animated! :-D

It's been an eventful 2 weeks healthwise.
  • My grandmother fell again, twice in less than a year. Thankfully, she didn't fracture or break anything -- a miracle, given she's severely osteopenic and osteoporotic -- and she didn't get 2 huge black eyes this time around, but she does have assorted bruises and scrapes, including a nasty gouge across her forehead. Mum and I have tried to convince her to use a cane or even a walker, but she refuses. She also won't listen to Mum about not going out after dark and not rushing all the time.

  • My niece came down with rotavirus (ah, 'tis the season!), my sister-in-law with flu... then my nephew also came down with rotavirus and my brother as well. My poor niece was so dehydrated she went to hospital twice to get IV fluids.

  • I'm slowly recovering from a bad cold. I've left the congestion and sneezing stage and have entered the incessant dry cough stage. Good thing I'm fond of tea and honey-lemon drops.

On the work front, things continue to go well (or so it seems). I'm quite pleased, really, although it's going to be quite quite busy. :-D

I'll be having dinner with my ex-boss this week, which will be cool. She was a great boss.

On the lurid novel editing front, I now have 2 junior editors to terrorize... mwahahahahahahaha! Ahem.

I got most of my holiday cards written tonight (> 2 dozen!), shockingly.

Through a quiz (Are You a Right-Brain Thinker?), I learned that I am predominantly a left-brain thinker -- I can't imagine any of you are shocked by that. :-)

I am thinking of taking a foreign language class next year; it would entail 2 hours twice a week, after work, of course.

My laundry pile is approaching scary again. :-O

And that is pretty much it on my end. Well, that plus the fact I'll be cropping my hair again, probably New Year's Eve if I can wait that long. Exciting news, I know.

The tresses have gotten quite lengthy, despite my taking the scissors to them a few months ago, chopping more than 8 inches off. Who'd have thunk I'd still have this much left? In any case, I'm trying to decide whether I should go crew cut-ish, as I did a few years ago, short-ish, or medium. I'll likely go crew. I know, I know, you never thought I was so wild. Ahem.
