Blizzards and Lightning and Wind! Oh, My!
Ha! Who would have thought lightning and blizzards would go together? Well, okay, maybe you have more experience with such, but not I! :-D

It was powerful and beautiful and awe-inspiring to see the brilliant flashes in the sky illuminating the sheets of snow falling across the world, or rather my small piece of it. That's right: the winds were howling, the snow was flying, thunder rolling and lightning arcing. Amazing!

We had 23 inches fall overnight and there will possibly be another 3 or 4 inches by the time it all ends late this afternoon....

And while you may wonder at how I marvel over nature's fury, I do not forget that I am fortunate to be doing so in the comfort of a home, with heat and warm clothes. I sympathize with those who are not as fortunate as I to have shelter and those who have to be out there because of their jobs, such as emergency service crew, the police, firefighters, etc.

Be safe and keep warm!
